Your next step towards becoming a Master Scuba Diver, the highest non-professional rating a diver can achieve.

You complete 5 dives that include the two core dives of Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation plus you choose 3 more Adventure dives from the - 17 Adventure Dives; plus you complete the Knowledge Reviews of each dive. Completed in two days at a local open water dive facility.

For your Advanced Open Water certification you will do a Deep Dive between 60-100 feet in which you experience thermoclines, visibility changes and the effects of nitrogen narcosis. These dives boost your confidence as you build these foundational skills. On the Navigation Dive, you will become better at using your compass and recognizing natural landmarks. This will help you to be able to navigate during the dive as well as back to the dive boat or shore. Then, you choose 3 additional dives from more than 17 Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can go diving at night, shoot digital underwater photos, dive on a wreck, conduct a search and recovery exercise or even fly through the water on a diver propulsion vehicle – all during your PADI Adventure and Advanced Open Water Diver course.
The choices for Advanced Open Water Dives include: Altitude Diver, AWARE Fish ID, Boat Diver, Deep Diver, Digital Underwater Photographer, Diver Propulsion Vehicle, (scooter), Drift Diver, Drysuit Diver, Ice Diver, Multilevel and Computer Diver, National Geographic Diver, Night Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigator, Underwater Videographer, Wreck Diver.
