Scuba Tune Up

If it has been several months or longer since your last dive, a Scuba Tune-Up is a great way to refresh your skills. Many resorts and cruise ship operators require that you have proof of diving within the past year. If you haven't dived in the past year they will have you do a tune-up dive first. Doing that dive here at Scuba Systems before you go lets you use your vacation time to do the dives you want.

The self-study Scuba Review workbook allows you to review the material covered in your Open Water course at your own pace. When you come in, you review anything you had trouble with. The pool portion of the Tune-Up reviews the skills you learned in your Open Water course. You begin with equipment assembly, review and demonstrate in-water scuba skills and equipment breakdown and rinsing. Upon successful completion, you will receive a sticker for your certification card that indicates the date you successfully completed the tune-up.

The cost is $60 for this group tuneup. If you need to rent a regulator or BCD it is $9 each. The workbook is about $23

This is a great time to get a wetsuit, regulator or dive computer for the class and for your upcoming trip.

Today is a great day to sign up for a Nitrox class! Diving with Nitrox allows you to extend your bottom time compared to diving with air. The Nitrox Diver Speciality counts towards your Master Scuba Diver Certification, and is the PADI Diving Society Specialty of the Year for 2010. PADI Diving Society members receive a free gift each time they complete a Specialty of the Month or the Specialty of the Year. The Nitrox class is now available through e-Learning!
